Video: Michelle Rhee on Fighting 'Last In, First Out' Policies

For those that insist teachers unions benefit children, explain to me the first in, first out policy where teachers get laid off based on seniority, or lack thereof, not on their abilities.
Ohio lawmakers are considering a controversial plan to create a merit-based pay system to reward good teachers and protect them from budget-inducing layoffs. While the state's House of Representatives pass the measure, the Senate did not, forcing school districts to consider seniority only.
How does that benefit the kids?
