Detroit institutes municipal ObamaCare; will ration services towards "healthy" neighborhoods

60 years ago, before liberalism took hold and metastasized, Detroit was the industrial capital of the entire planet. After Democrats took over, the city has been reduced to a warning of what not to do. From my post earlier this month: Hiroshima recovered far better from a nuclear explosion than Detroit ever will from an explosion of liberalism. The place is also crime-ridden beyond description. Detroit is one of most dangerous cities on the PLANET, alongside Baghdad and  Beirut, as ranked by CNN last spring. It's so bad that the Detroit government is abdicating its #1 responsibility - protection of the people - to criminals, drug dealers and the homeless. 20% of the city will be without police or fire protection. Along those lines, the current news - Detroit is instituting what I can only call municipal ObamaCare: Bing: Neighborhood health to determine city services

In two weeks, the health of Detroit neighborhoods will determine what services they get, according to a plan unveiled today by Mayor Dave Bing.

The extraordinary effort to parse services geographically — from where codes are enforced, houses demolished, codes enforced, trees trimmed and street lights repaired, for instance — is a result of 14 months of study toward reshaping an aging city that is marked by wide pockets of despair. Bing says all neighborhoods will still get basic services, such as police and fire, EMS and garbage pickup.

Yet Detroit's 61 percent population decline since the 1950s and declining infrastructure and budget health have prompted a rationing of services.

Exactly the way ObamaCare will work if allowed to be implemented in full by 2014. The rationing map:

UPDATE: 3 DHS workers fired over misspending of $210,000 for poor people. For Detroit, this has become so cliche!
