Glee's Chris Colfer Learns He's Been Fired... on Twitter

Glee's Chris learns he's been axed... on Twitter
Chris Colfer has revealed how he found out about his upcoming Glee exit - on Twitter.

The 21-year-old actor, who plays gay teen Kurt in the hit E4 TV series, only learned of his character's fate on the social networking site when Glee creator Ryan Murphy announced that three main stars - Chris, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith - won't return for a fourth season.

"Yesterday on Twitter - I found out that they made that announcement," he told Access Hollywood.

"I didn't necessarily know that it was going to be our last season next year. I knew something like that was coming up eventually. I mean, we can't be there for ever."

The news left Chris with mixed emotions.

"Do I want to leave the show? Absolutely not. This is home for me. But I understand that there's time for a conclusion," he said to Extra.

His parting gift is an Emmy nomination for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series.

"As a performer, I feel so fulfilled. It's just a huge category. It's best actor in a comedy, and we all know that Kurt's not funny, so I'm very, very happy to be a part of it," he told Extra.
