D'angelo PLOTS COMEBACK with 3rd studio album!!--Taps 'The Two 'Q's' to collaborate!

R&B crooner D'angelo has been quiet as far as new music is concerned.  There have been reports of some run-in's with the law and such, but the D'angelo known for such hits as 'Brown Sugar', and 'Untitled (How Does it Feel) has been missing from the game.  Well it appears that the search party can be called off because the man that was 'lost' has been found.  The word is that D'angelo is working on his 3rd studio and the has tapped the 'TWO Q's' to collaborate with.  Questlove from The Roots and Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest fame have been tapped to collaborate with D'angelo on what could well be his comeback album.  Q-Tip Q-Tip added to the anticipation of the upcoming collabo by tweeting the following:

“Just finished with d’angelo. WOW!” “Let me say… He is on his A game with the music! #dangelo“

Q-Tip also let slip that Questlove had recently spent time in the studio with D’Angelo:

“And @questlove did a joint with d’angelo that is INSANE!”

Hopefully, we will be hearing some new music from D'angelo real soon and with Questlove & Q-Tip on board, this cd should be well worth the wait.

Original vs Remake? Remaking a hit song can be 'hit or miss' sometimes...

Have you ever heard a song and it stays in your mind and you never knew it was a remade song.  Then you listen to the original and the remade version pales in comparison.  Or have you ever heard a remake and wondered to yourself why the artist ever tried to retouch, cover or even attempt to mess with a classic?  Sometimes remakes can be done really well, and other times, it is left up to interpretation.  It is a 'hit or miss' situation at times.  Sometimes the original is so classic that if you even try to touch it, it is an automatic fail.  Then other times, the remake may employ such an ingenious twist that it stands out on its own.  I decided to pick a few songs that came to mind and paired them up to the original to see what people's thoughts were.  Take a listen and see which do you prefer, the original, or the remake?
