Fantasia is PREGNANT!! Guess who's the father?

In what people might tag to an 'I already knew that' moment.  Fantasia announced this weekend at a show in Jacksonville that she is indeed with child.






There had been reports that Fantasia was preparing for a movie role that required her to be heavier. I guess those rumors were exaggerated? Hmmm, I wonder who the father of the baby is?

 

Well, Congrats are in order for Fantasia!

It is undeniable that Fantasia is truly a voice of the ages.  This young singer can sing just about anything and it takes you to a place you've never been before.  She can 'take you to church', and she can take you the stages of pop concerts, to folk, and she does it well with her signature down-home flare!  Looking back at her amazing struggle and obstacles that she faced getting to the 'Idol' stage, then ultimately conquering that very stage--we sometimes forget what true star quality is.  We often get sidetracked by media drama, and other aspects of a performers life that we let these things cloud the true picture.  Fantasia is a star and she always was.  Take a look back the makings of a true talent...

2011 Essence Festival: In Pictures

The Superdome in Louisiana was filled to the brim with talent this weekend as the 17th Annual Essence Festival  2011 kicked off on July 1!  Headliners for this year's fest included, Usher, Mary J. Blige, & Kanye West.  The jam-packed lineup for Day 1 included Miguel, Tank, Charlie Wilson, Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia.  Classic groups like Boyz II Men (Now a trio), and Dru Hill also graced the stage with rousing performances of the songs that made them mega-stars back in the day.  Take a look at what you missed if you were not amongst the thousands of festival-goers.

Headliner Usher closed out the day with his last big show of the year, tweeting, “To everybody that came to the show tonight…much love! I had an incredible time…as I told ya’ll last show this year on that level.”

Kanye West rocked the stage on Saturday night and Mary J.Blige will close out the star-studded event on Sunday.

There was not one corner of The Superdome that wasn't filled with starpower!  The Essence Fest wraps up tonight!

WTF Moment: Fantasia....again

We over love Fantasia, but I am not too sure on this one. WTF? Is she channeling Remy Ma  / Nicki Minaj with this two-toned do?  The album is doing well, the Vh1 reality show has great ratings, you kicked Teeny out, so we know you got some extra cashflow.  Why does this do look like 'Sharita Alize' Jenkins' from 'round the way hooked your hair up in her kitchen?  This 'quick weave' in conception may have been a good idea on paper, but the execution appears to be lacking just a bit.  I mean is that part even straight?   Do we see the 'Tracks' of your 'tears'.  Comb that out and go back to this:
