Predictable: Pro-Infanticide Obama To Force Insurers To Offer Free Abortion Pills As Per ObamaCare Law

The big fat lie:
The proof, via memeorandum: Obama administration approves no-cost birth control, including ‘morning after’ pill
Pro-lifers are horrified at the announcement Monday that the Obama administration has approved a recommendation from the Institute of Medicine (IOM) to guarantee full health insurance coverage for birth control, including the so-called “morning-after” pill, under the Affordable Care Act.

The new guidelines, which the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) labeled “historic,” will require new health insurance plans to include women’s preventive services including FDA approved contraceptives, breast feeding support, and well-women visits — all without charging a co-payment, co-insurance or a deductible — beginning August 1, 2012.

“The Affordable Care Act helps stop health problems before they start,” said HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in a statement.
Babies are a problem now. Remember that Obama equated babies with an STD:

Once again, for the umpteenth time, on Obama and abortion, it is indisputable that in his short time in office, the most viciously pro-abort zealot to ever sit in the Oval Office did the following:
The multiple pro-infanticide votes are the most egregious of the above egregious acts, and he did so without any pity for those babies born alive only to be left in soiled linen closets to die. Our community organizer-in-chief with a heart "bigger than any heart in the world" took this action on infanticide (a fact that I seemingly have to point out bi-monthly):
In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies that survived late-term abortions.

Obama voted against this bill in the Illinois senate and killed it in committee. Twice, the Induced Infant Liability Act came up in the Judiciary Committee on which he served. At its first reading he voted “present.” At the second he voted “no.”

The bill was then referred to the senate’s Health and Human Services Committee, which Obama chaired after the Illinois Senate went Democratic in 2003. As chairman, he never called the bill up for a vote.
That last part was a defacto "no" vote. More than the above is the personal account of nurse Jill Stanek who witnessed surviving babies being left to die in soiled linens (keep in mind that Obama is now "shocked and saddened" by gay suicides):
Jill Stanek, a registered delivery-ward nurse who was the prime mover behind the legislation after she witnessed aborted babies’ being born alive and left to die, testified twice before Obama in support of the Induced Infant Liability Act bills. She also testified before the U.S. Congress in support of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.

Stanek told me her testimony did not faze” Obama.

In the second hearing, Stanek said, “I brought pictures in and presented them to the committee of very premature babies from my neonatal resuscitation book from the American Pediatric Association, trying to show them unwanted babies were being cast aside. Babies the same age were being treated if they were wanted!”

And those pictures didn’t faze him [Obama] at all,” she said.

I disagree: Rick Perry: Abortion is a states’ rights issue. “You either have to believe in the 10th Amendment or you don’t” Yo Rick - how about 5th amendment? And the 14th?

I like Rick Perry but I totally disagree with him on this one. Via HotAir: Rick Perry: Abortion is a states’ rights issue
Despite holding personal pro-life beliefs, Texas Gov. Rick Perry categorized abortion as a states’ rights issue today, saying that if Roe v. Wade was overturned, it should be up to the states to decide the legality of the procedure.

“You either have to believe in the 10th Amendment or you don’t,” Perry told reporters after a bill signing in Houston. “You can’t believe in the 10th Amendment for a few issues and then [for] something that doesn’t suit you say, ‘We’d rather not have states decide that.’”…
So here's where I disagree. According to the 5th amendment to the US Constitution:
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
Yeah - shall not be deprived of life without due process. Um - what due process is afforded babies prior to their being dismembered while conscious? Furthermore, the 14th amendment bans states from usurping that fundamental, unalienable right:
...nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Is that not clear? The 10th amendment cannot trump the right to life nor does it. Perry's looking at it wrong from a constitutional perspective. Don't get me wrong - Roe v Wade was and is one of the all-time most terrible decisions in SCOTUS history, and that's saying a whole lot. But the unalienable right to life is just that - unalienable.

Detroit Free Press: Incarcerating murderers for life "bordering on barbarism", "draconian." But abortion AOK!

Yet another in an endless string of examples of the liberal media looking out for wanton criminals rather than the victims of their crimes. Worse yet, it is utter hypocrisy to insist that murderers get far better treatment than unborn babies whom that same liberal media approve in being literally torn apart while conscious. From The Detroit Free Press, while the debt ceiling is about to fall in on a federal government that is like a drunk in an alcohol factory and can't stop itself from spending, the freep has other priorities to editorialize: Courts should give juvenile lifers chance at parole
Roughly 350 juveniles have been sentenced to life without parole in Michigan -- among the most in a nation that stands alone in imposing such sentences on children.
Children? They were tried as adults for a good reason - they're crimes were so heinous that they couldn't have been committed by unknowing kids. People mature at different rates and simply going with age makes no sense whatsoever.
Michigan's notorious juvenile lifer law denies even the possibility of parole for certain crimes, imposing the maximum adult penalty on children as young as 14. Bordering on barbarism, this practice is almost certainly unconstitutional, given recent court decisions.
But abortion that takes away a baby's 14th amendment protection against being deprived of life without due process is not. Doesn't that just figure? 
In a lawsuit filed last year, the American Civil Liberties Union and ACLU of Michigan argued that denying juvenile lifers a fair hearing and chance for release violates the Eighth Amendment's prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment.
But again abortion is AOK.The hypocrisy here is endless as having murderers incarcerated in air conditioned prisons with cable tv is considered inhumane and unfair, but dismembering babies under the absurd auspices of 'choice' is not:
...ACLU attorney Deborah Labelle told the Free Press editorial page on Monday. "...sentencing children to die in prison without giving them an opportunity for parole is inhumane, unfair and unconstitutional."

...The evolution of the law concerning adult sentences for juveniles is supported by emerging scientific scholarship as well as common sense. Juveniles don't possess the same rights and responsibilities as adults because of their maturity levels. Imposing the same penalities on someone too young to buy a pack of cigarettes is therefore irrational.
How about imposing the penalty of death on babies for the crime of simply existing? Irrational? And of course it is the job of these same hypocritical liberals to sanctimoniously lecture us on morality:
Despite overwhelming, legal, moral and practical arguments, Michigan legislators have failed to abolish this draconian law enacted in the 1980s. Repealing it would not, in itself, release a single prisoner; it would only give juvenile lifers a chance to earn a parole after serving lengthy sentences.
I don't think Draco would have put up with coddled murderers sitting in a club behind bars, but maybe that's just me. If the freep is so worried about cruel and unusual punishment, they should call for lifting Michigan's moratorium on capital punishment. After all, murderers can't possibly be held to a better standard than unborn children, right?

Good Riddance! Pro-life Traitor US Rep. Dale Kildee (D-Flint) Aborting his Job, will not seek 19th Term

Bart Stupak, Bob Casey, Dale Kildee. What do all of them have in common? I'll tell you - they all proclaimed to be pro-life Democrats and then sold out the unborn, essentially throwing them right in the wood chipper head first with the passage of Obamacare that taxpayers to fund elective abortions. In the summer of 2009 I predicted that purportedly pro-life MI Democrat Bart Stupak would fold like a cheap K-Mart picnic table and vote for ObamaCare even though it will throw taxpayer money at the abortion industry: There's no such thing as a moderate Democrat, only liberal Democrats in conservative districts. Example #2,927 - Bart Stupak. Indeed I have said it before (many times) and I will say it again (many times) - there is no such thing as a pro-life Democrat, only liberal Democrats serving in right-of-center districts. Oh they may claim to be pro-life, but the difference between them and true pro-lifers is that the issue is not just one of several competing against each other. No. For the true-pro-lifer, abortion holds absolute veto power. It's not the same as single-issue voting, mind you, as pro-lifers are just as concerned about other issues such as the economy, takes, healthcare, etc. It's just that no other issue would goad the pro-life politician, or voter for that matter, into casting a vote against the unborn no matter how benign it appears on its face. I have written about this issue extensively on this blog, with these few posts as mere examples:
You'll note Michigan Rep Dale Kildee was on that list of traitors. US Rep Dale Kildee (D-Flint) is another one of these fake pro-life Democrats that claimed one thing only to end up perhaps being the deciding vote on passing the pro-abortion healthcare bill in the House; thus he will Kildee babies. But it's for the greater good don't you know. Can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs, or in this case scrambling them as well. But his contortion in trying to explain why he is throwing unborn babiesw under the bus, a visual far more appealing than what Planned Parenthood will literally do to them, got getting pretty crazy. He claimed that his priest basically gave him a green light. Said priest vehemently denied it, and said that Kildee doesn't attend church much either. People like myself have been saying forever that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PRO-LIFE DEMOCRAT! So it's only fitting that Kildee is aborting his re-election to a 19th term in Congress: U.S. Rep. Kildee, 81, has been a lawmaker at the state and federal levels for 47 years.
The kicker comes at the end:
Kildee has been known to say he would remain in office until "God or the voters" decide otherwise.
Like his fake pro-life stance, those words weren't worth paying any attention to either. MLive has a ton of links with liberals heaping adulation on part of the machine that has decimated the economy:
By the way, how's Flint doing after his 40 years in Congress (for that matter, how have Conyers and Dingell's districts fared after even longer tenures?)? Yeah - he was that bad. You'll note that Democrats are insisting in nepotism to solve their problem in the aborted re-election effort. Michigan Republican Party Chairman Bobby Schostak spoke the truth in that Kildee's political days were numbered thank to the community organizer-in-chief: Michigan Republican Party chairman blames Obama for Rep. Dale Kildee's retirement
"Michigan conservatives and tea party activists were eager for another shot in 2012," said Michigan Republican Party Chairman Bobby Schostak a news release. "Given that Democrats have to run on Obama's miserable record on jobs, national debt, and the economy, it's no wonder Kildee decided that a graceful exit was preferable to a certain defeat."

..."Barack Obama is going to have to explain his record to the taxpayers, families, and unemployed workers of Michigan at some point," Schostak said in the news release. "Voters won't be buying what he's selling, and representative Kildee didn't want to be his pitchman."

Casey Anthony’s lawyer: “We need to think twice about a country that kills its own citizens.” Um - ABORTION?

People that live in darkness tend to be blind to evil. Case in point is Casey Anthony's lawyer Jose Baez who came out against the death penalty saying this (via Jill Stanek):
I think that this case is a perfect example of why the death penalty does not work and why we all need to stop and look and think twice about a country that decides to kill its own citizens. Murder’s not right no matter who does it, whether its a ritual killing or someone becoming a victim in a drive-by shooting. It’s disgusting, and I think if this case gets any attention, it should focus on that issue, that we need to stop trying to kill our people. The best feeling that I have today is that I know I can go home and my daughter will ask me, “What did you do today?” and I can say, “I saved a life.” ~  Jose Baez, Casey Anthony’s attorney, July 5, via Mediaite
Um - dude: abortion? Hello? That and the absurd assertion that capital punishment is murder. From where does Baez draw a moral judgement such as that? The Bible clearly condones and encourages it, both in the Old and new Testaments. In those days, Casey Anthony would be buried along with her murdered child already.

Rush Limbaugh: If Casey Anthony’s Baby Was Killed in the Womb, the Media Wouldn’t Care

I opined this just yesterday:
I don't know if Casey Anthony is guilty or not. My own opinion is that she probably is. I admit to not having followed the case much the past few years, and I'm glad I didn't. However, our system has a high burden of proof for a murder conviction. For those that insist we live in a Democracy, do note that it takes a unanimous jury to convict, not a simple majority. In essence, I would rather see an occasional murderer go free than convicting the innocent. In any case, many in the media became emotionally invested in the Anthony case and have lashed out at the jury because a little girl didn't get justice. Perhaps most ironically, many of these same people are pro-aborts and little girls get butchered every day with their approval.
You know that saying that great minds think alike? All I have to say is 'heh:'

"I think that while it may be uncomfortable to hear one of the reasons its uncomfortable to hear is there is an element of truth in it. If they, if you people the media really really think she's guilty and you want to feel better about this just tell yourselves that she just waited a couple of years to get an abortion and you'll feel better."

The 2nd video is of a 911 call placed from the UNM (University of New Mexico) Center for Reproductive Health abortion mill on February 15, 2011. A 35-year-old mother named Lisa began crashing after receiving conscious sedation. The call is particularly annoying because the 911 operator wastes several minutes asking questions when he should have immediately sent the ambulance as soon as he heard someone was “crashing” at a medical facility, IMO….

Video: Black Pro-Life Group Releases New Video on Abortion’s Racism

The National Black Prolife Coalition released a new video today saying that, on the anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the nation should recognize babies in the womb as a class of unprotected human beings targeted by abortion. Members of the coalition include Ryan Bomberg of the Radiance Foundation and Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“This monumental anti-discrimination act falls short of protecting America’s weakest and most vulnerable class of human beings, the babies in the womb. Even the ‘Women’s Rights Movement’ should recognize the harm to the rights of the baby girls in the womb,” King said. “Other monumental events in America’s history also did not foresee the potential harm of failure to protect all innocent unborn babies.”

“President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation,” King added. “Who would ever dream that by 2011 African American babies would be the most vulnerable people group to be executed by abortion, or that their mothers would be the most targeted market for the abortion industry?”

Planned Parenthood is an evil organization. Plain evil. What else do you call an organization that encourages women to wait and have an abortion at a certain point in the pregnancy so that they can turn around and sell fetus bodyparts for a profit? That covers up statutory rape of little girls by adult men? That targets minorities in line with their founder Margaret Sanger's eugenics push to rid the world of black people? Here in Michigan, Planned Parenthood has strategically located their butcher shops in Detroit, Warren, Jackson, Lansing, East Lansing, Livonia, Ypsilanti, and are now eyeballing Pontiac. All of these locations are close to large minority populations. Funny that you never see their "health care" facilities in affluent suburbs. It's almost like they're targeting undesirables in their view or something. You don't have to go too far in any historical research to learn that Planned Parenthood was set up by Margaret Sanger, (or am I thinking Ruth Bader Ginsburg?) a eugenicist and disciple of the false god Molech, for the express purpose of elimination of what she considered "undesireables." The black community was target numero uno for Sanger:
This is an evil organization, and nobody working with or for them will have excuse. Quite ironically, it is the black community that supports liberal politicians by overwhelming margins that install judicial activists on the courts and throw taxpayer money at orgs like Planned Parenthood that in turn go into minority neighborhoods to butcher as many as possible. Such is supported as the most fundamental right by those activist judges against the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence that for one lists "life" as the greatest of unalienable rights. Just remember the fact that abortion is far and away the #1 killer of blacks in the U.S. (more than all diseases - combined):

Abortion kills more black Americans than the seven leading causes of death combined, according to data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for 2005, the latest year for which the abortion numbers are available.

Abortion killed at least 203,991 blacks in the 36 states and two cities (New York City and the District of Columbia) that reported abortions by race in 2005, according to the CDC. During that same year, according to the CDC, a total of 198,385 blacks nationwide died from heart disease, cancer, strokes, accidents, diabetes, homicide, and chronic lower respiratory diseases combined. These were the seven leading causes of death for black Americans that year.

A total of 49 jurisdictions reported their abortion numbers for 2005 to the CDC. These included all 50 states--except California, Louisiana, and New Hampshire--and New York City and the District of Columbia. Of these 49 jurisdiction, only 36 states plus New York City and the District of Columbia reported the number of abortions by race.
...According to the CDC, the total of 203,991 blacks killed by abortion in 2005 also does not include those aborted by "private physicians’ procedures.”

In 2005, a total of 820,151 legal abortions were performed in the 49 jurisdication that reported abortions to the CDC, according to the “Abortion Surveillance” report, which is published in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, or MMWR, for Nov. 28, 2008. (Scroll up to top of report)

The report states, “Approximately 1 in 5 U.S. pregnancies have ended in abortion,” and also notes some limitations on the data: “The overall number, ratio, and rate of abortions are conservative estimates; the total numbers of legal induced abortions provided by central health agencies and reported to the CDC for 2005 were probably lower than the numbers actually performed.”

...Rev. Clenard H. Childress, Jr., founder of BlackGenocide.org, told CNSNews.com that according to numbers gleaned from statistics provided by the Guttmacher Institute, a pro-abortion group, 1,784 blacks are aborted each day. Also, he notes on his Web site that three out of five African-American women will obtain an abortion.

Childress said the information and sources on his Web site have never been challenged by abortion-access supporters. “This is because they can see that themselves, and they know them probably to be far worse than we’re reporting. The facts come from the pro-abort/pro-choice community,” he said.
And it will get even worse if Obamacare were to pass into law. Planned Parenthood would then have the absolute authority to set up clinics in every public school in the country.

I feel bad many times for having thoughts of these people squirming before God on judgment day, but at the same time, I wonder what WOULD they say? What CAN they say when they give an account as we all will? I was trying to help the economy? Health care? Pro-choice? Principle? How ridiculous would that sound should the audience consist of the 50 million souls aborted in the U.S. since RvW? How about this Democrat mantra: "I wanted to help the little guy, the downtrodden, the most helpless amongst us, ...." And then it sets in, the horrible realization that the most helpless amongst us (who is smaller than these little guys anyway?) have been slaughtered - butchered in the most barbaric and horrific ways imaginable, and with their full blessing. Torn head from shoulder, limb from torso, legs from hips, exposed to saline fluid that burned skin and muscle, to be scraped out like a rash and flushed down a toilet like fecal matter or put into a dumpster with the garbage. And the false god Molech smiles.

How do people that work for these facilities, whether independent of as part of the Planned Parenthood butcher shops, and sleep well at night? Do they have the approval of their conscience? If so, I fear for their spirit. Why are people surprised at the callousness that is shown to evil and death in this country when acts like this have been condoned, encouraged and protected by our elected leaders and highest courts? Why is it surprising that Planned Parenthood not only performs abortions, but lies and breaks the law to do so, going so far as to cover up statutory rape of 12- and 13-year old girls so that they can be repeat customers?

Slavery was  great stain on this country. Far worse than slavery is abortion. Ironically, the two are not independent of one another as statistics clearly show that abortion is the new racism.

Irony: Democratic School Board Candidate Quits After Hitting Pro-Lifer With Her Car

I guess when you try to run over someone you disagree with with your car, it crosses a line even for the party of death:
A Democratic candidate for the school board in Fairfax County, northern Virginia, has quit her campaign because she has become the subject of criminal charges for purposefully hitting pro-life advocates participating in the March for Life with her vehicle.

As the Washington Post reports:
A Fairfax County School Board candidate who carried the endorsements of the local Democratic Party and Rep.Gerry Connolly has withdrawn from the race after it was learned that she is facing assault charges in the District for allegedly hitting a woman with her car near the Supreme Court building on the day of the annual Right to Life March.

Charisse Espy Glassman, a Falls Church resident who is the niece of former U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy, told party members she is stepping down from the at-large school board campaign because of personal and family matters, according to Rex Simmons, chair of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee.
And this isn't the first time such a thing has happened either:
...A pro-abortion Nebraska man upset that pro-life advocates were lining the streets of this eastern city drove his vehicle on the sidewalk and nearly came in contact with participants in October 2008. The pro-life people were participating the in the annual Life Chain, silently holding pro-life signs opposing abortion.

In September, 2010 a man who had been verbally harassing pro-lifers outside a late-term abortion center in Albuquerque for days, escalated his abuse to violence by driving his large paneled delivery truck up on a curb and striking the large pro-life sign held by Bud Shaver.

In March 2010, Nevada-based abortion practitioner Damon Stutes reportedly decided to take matters into his own hands as local pro-life advocates say he aggressively ran over with his vehicle signs that have stood in front of his center for a year.

In October 2008, an Arkansas man nearly hit a group of pro-lifers outside an abortion business. Bryant Shireman was apprehended by police and charged with three counts of aggravated assault following the incident.

In October 2009, a Georgia abortion practitioner was arrested in a road rage incident that saw him punch a woman in the face.

Before his death, Kansas abortion practitioner George Tiller was accused of allegedly hitting a local pro-life advocate with his vehicle as he was leaving his central Kansas abortion center.
Well, they are abortionists, ad deep down they know darned well there isn't a wisp of difference between the humanity of those born and unborn. So it should come as no surprise that violence against the unborn translates into violence against the born.

On this Independence Day, remember that the SCOTUS revoked the unalienable right to life

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

With that ads a backdrop, a reminder that the US Supreme Court took it upon itself to revoke the unalienable right to life in 1972 with their unconstitutional Roe v Wade decision. In doing so, they also deprived babies of their 14th amendment right against their life being taken without due process.  From Life News:
At the time, I had no clue that the basic right to life had been revoked by the U.S. Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. I do not remember hearing the word abortion; it was certainly not talked about in my classes.

Fast-forward to college, and I’m sitting across the desk from one of my journalism professors, who was attempting to defend his view on abortion, which he labeled “pro-choice.” I countered by drawing a picture of a baby inside a mother’s womb. I thought that the portrait of a life inside a life would win the argument.

Unfortunately, after working for a news organization that counted abortionists among its financial supporters, I crossed over to the other side. I mistakenly viewed abortion as a freedom that a woman should zealously safeguard.

But I was fuzzy on the facts. I did not know, for instance, that a heartbeat could be detected 24 days after conception, or that brain waves could be monitored 43 days after the unification of egg and sperm.

And I did not know that, by exercising this so-called freedom, a woman could become trapped—imprisoned by guilt, emotional anguish, physical distress. I did not see all the hazards of abortion—the possibility of sterility, a perforated uterus, subsequent drug and alcohol abuse.

I certainly did not realize that in as many as 60 percent of cases, pregnant women were being coerced to abort by misguided boyfriends, husbands, and parents. Instead of exercising their freedom, such women were being psychologically abused. Roe was a chain that bound them in misery. It would also sever their ties with future generations.

When I learned the truth, I reverted to my previous pro-life position. I saw that true freedom could only come by respecting God-given rights—the foremost of which was the right to life.

This Independence Day, I re-read the Declaration of Independence with new fervor. The patriot within me wants what the Founding Fathers desired—a nation where life is honored, and where the rights of the individual—especially the most vulnerable among us—are respected. My prayer this 4th of July is that 2012 will bring with it an election in which life will triumph, and that progress will be made toward enabling all pregnant women to be truly free…free of the bondage of coercion, free of the shackles of Roe.
Happiness cannot be pursued without liberty, and one cannot have liberty without life. Abortion is a stain on this nation far worse than the one left by slavery. Some 51 million dead babies and all their non-existent descendents that would have added God knows what to this society. A cure for cancer. Quantum computing. The next Mozart or Martin Luther King Jr. All dead because judicial activism has turned the US Constitution as well as the Declaration on their heads.

Chris Matthews: Regulating Abortion Is Like Jim Crow Efforts to Disenfranchise Blacks Or Something

Several ironies here:
  1. Matthews is purportedly a Catholic, a church where abortion is a mortal sin without exception
  2. Jim Crow was a Democrat ad Jim Crow laws were instituted by Democrats
  3. Abortion disproportionately affects black people. in fact, Planned Parenthood was founded to target and eradicate the black population via abortion

In the warped mind of MSNBC's Chris Matthews, efforts to regulate the practice of abortion are morally equivalent to literacy tests in the South that were aimed at preventing African-Americans from voting.

The "Hardball" host made that puzzling and arguably insulting comparison on the June 30 program in a segment titled "What's the Matter with Kansas?"

"Kansas may be on track to become the first state in the country to put an end to abortion," Matthews told his audience yesterday, explaining that:
A new law requires the state's abortion providers to comply with strict new regulations that set equipment, temperature and space requirements, and the Associated Press reports that as of today, only one of the state's three clinics met those requirements. Two others were denied permission to operate, effectively shutting them down [when the law takes effect] tomorrow.
Before the commercial break, Matthews had promised "both sides" of the debate, but in truth supplied only one side, interviewing a left-leaning reporter and then an abortion rights activist.
Doesn't that just figure. The video:
Funny that Matthews never makes such a comparison to those trying to ban the 2nd amendment by fiat, such as Chicago where former mayor Daley required that every gun owner get training at a range, and then banned ranges from existing in the city.

Detroit man charged in death of pregnant girlfriend, plus "willful killing of an unborn child." So what's the difference with abortionists?

She was 19 years old, but had the mental capacity of a 14-year-old. She was also five months pregnant, and now the father of that unborn child is charged with killing her and his baby.
Funny how the abortion-supporting MSM refers to that blob of cells correctly as a baby, no?

...21-year-old Jomiah Washington is accused of killing 19-year-old Daborah Young. She was five months pregnant with his child when police say Washington shot young in the head, dumped her body in a wooded area in Brightmoor and set her body on fire.

"This is a prime example of Michigan actually (needing) the death penalty. Just something like this, they don't deserve to live," Balfour said.
We already have a death penalty in Michigan. It's called abortion, and it is applied for the crime of existing. So with the above in tow, and in regards to just a baby, what separates an abortionist from Jomiah Washington? The end result is exactly the same, no? Yet one is rightly charged with murder, while the former is given our taxpayer money by Democrats sanctimoniously insisting this is what women's health is all about.

Irony: Pro-abort Leonard Pitts Jr: "A great nation has a moral obligation to... care for the most... vulnerable of its people"

I have quoted Pitts before stating quite plainly that America is "a nation where human rights are given." Human rights are not given, and especially not by the government. If Pitts would quote from that Declaration of Independence, he will find to his horror that our unalienable rights are endowed to us by... GOD! Not by man. Indeed the Declaration of Independence identifies the right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness", which is interesting since Leonard Pitts Jr is rabidly pro-abortion. That's right - he is pro-abortion but anti-death penalty, yet falsely blasted Republicans for not helping babies in Haiti after the earthquake last year, illustrating quite vividly that although he has no qualms about tearing babies to pieces, he will use those same babies to hit conservatives over the head on false notions if the opportunity presents itself. If Pitts can't stand up for the first and most important of those three unalienable rights (you can't pursue happiness without liberty, and have no liberty without life), then his abstract arguments for the 3rd in regards to universal healthcare and such aren't moving whatsoever. And so we have another Pitts column full of moonbattery over in The Detroit Free Press: Paying taxes -- a duty to your fellow Americans. Unless it's a typo, Pitts stats off by going iCarly:
Ipay my taxes.
And then he goes on to conflate the paying of taxes for legitimate purpose (public safety for instance) with paying taxes for illegitimate ones (ObamaCare, welfare, etc). The former is largely on the local level, the latter at the federal one which is increasingly disconnected from reality. But then Pitts gets all we we'd up:
I pay my taxes. I consider it a patriotic obligation -- a sacrifice for the greater we.
And that due to Tea Party Derangement Syndrome:
But that is not how the anti-government forces that have dominated political debate in recent years see it. To hear them tell it, to pay taxes is to be robbed. And every federal program our taxes support is wasteful and unnecessary, except, of course, those that directly benefit the complainer.
No Leonard, not "every federal program." Just the ones that are not in the US Constitution. The US Constitution after all was not written to give out rights but rather to limit the power of the federal government, a limit that has been breached by a metastasizing federal government looking to control the lives of every man, woman and child in the US all the way down to what's on our plate for dinner. And the Tea Party is not "anti-government," but rather for the proper place of government as per said US Constitution. Anti-government types are anarchists, of which I don't know a single one that is a tea partier. But back to healthcare, the most ironic quote in the whole piece:
...A great nation has a moral obligation to provide a safety net, to care for the most broken and vulnerable of its people.
Um - would those not be UNBORN CHILDREN? Can you think of any human being in a more vulnerable state than that? And Pitts condones literally breaking them into pieces. How sad that Pitts can't see beyond his liberalism-tinted glasses.

UPDATE: Since Pitts insists that paying taxes is patriotic, how then does he square that with the fact that not only does bottom 47% of taxpayers pay no federal income tax, but the bottom 40% GET MONEY BACK!
