While Rome burns: CA Gov signs bill mandating homosexual indoctrination

People throughout history have asked what exactly the political class was doing as Rome was burning. My guess is they were passing legislation to indoctrinate children into depravity. Fast forward to today as California legislators took the time, as did Gov Moonbeam, to do the same thing while the state slides into fiscal hell:
How much you want to bet that Harvey Milk will be a centerpiece of the curriculum? Milk was the militant homosexual politician who was an enabler of Jim Jones and a pedophile predator of teen boys. Yes - thee Jim Jones of the Jonestown kool-aid mass suicide/murder. Believe you me that will be left out. Via The macomb Daily: California governor signs landmark law to teach gay history
Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a bill making California the first state in the nation to add lessons about gays and lesbians to social studies classes in public schools.

Brown, a Democrat, signed the landmark bill requiring public schools to include the contributions of people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender in social studies curriculum. The Democratic-majority Legislature had passed the bill last week on a largely party-line vote.

"History should be honest," the governor said in a statement Thursday. "This bill revises existing laws that prohibit discrimination in education and ensures that the important contributions of Americans from all backgrounds and walks of life are included in our history books."
But history won't be honest, and Harvey Milk will be hailed a hero even though he would be in jail today for pedophilia. Meanwhile, CA kids still can't read, write or do arithmetic well.

UPDATE: Calif. Faces Tough Choices on Overcrowded Prisons
UPDATE #2: More of that California burning thing: Prison doctor gets paid for doing little or nothing
A California surgeon has mostly been locked out of his job: on paid leave, fired or fighting his termination. When he does work, it's reviewing records. He made $777,000 last year, including back pay.
Look up the definition of serfdom. You may find California in there as an example.

Carmageddon! LA Mayor Villaraigosa : "Get Out of Your Cars!" "Stay Home!"

A 12-mile stretch of Interstate 405 in LA has shut down, It is such a big artery for traffic that it's national news. In the runup, liberal LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa activated the citywide emergency operations center in downtown and had this to say to LA residents:

Detroit: A warning to others as to what NOT to do

I'll ignore these facts for the purpose of this pots:
60 years ago, before liberalism took hold and metastasized, Detroit was the industrial capital of the entire planet. After Democrats took over, the city has been reduced to a warning of what not to do. From my post earlier this month: Hiroshima recovered far better from a nuclear explosion than Detroit ever will from an explosion of liberalism. The place is also crime-ridden beyond description. Detroit is one of most dangerous cities on the PLANET, alongside Baghdad and  Beirut, as ranked by CNN last spring. It's so bad that the Detroit government is abdicating its #1 responsibility - protection of the people - to criminals, drug dealers and the homeless. 20% of the city will be without police or fire protection. Recently, Detroit was ranked #4 in what is called the "City Crimes Ranking Index," which includes in its calculations the performance of sports teams (go Wings!). Besides a top-4 placing in the City Crime Rankings Index, Detroit is also ranked the most dangerous city in the country, the number 1 city in both lack of jobs, homicide rate, and in job sprawl, #2 most toxic metro area in the U.S., the most miserable city in the nation (#6 if sports teams are taken into account), with the worst jobless rate in the state (28.9%) and likely the nation, dead last among the 50 largest cities for finding jobs (if you want to see a real hockey stick graph look here), is run with much ineptitude and incompetence, with a recent felon ex-mayor and a City Council that until recently was run by a moonbat, and still full of tax cheats after an election to replace a Council full of tax cheats, home of the very worst public school district in the nation (with an obscene 1 in 4 graduation rate) and maybe in history, with residents turning to rodents for food, printing their own money, with an average home price of a mere $5,800, and with some of the worst air in the nation. Dead people have been receiving health benefits in the Detroit Public School security system.

Suffices to say, Detroit is in so bad of a shape thanks to liberal Democrat hegemonic domination that it is a centerpiece for any story about what government should not do. Case in point, from Pajamas Media: Lost Angeles: California Dreams, Wakes Up Looking Like Detroit

Phillip Garrido: Raping, pedophile, mentally destructive Evil Hamster

Jaycee Dugard Describes 18 Years Of Captivity In First Interview

SAN FRANCISCO -- Jaycee Dugard, the California woman kidnapped in 1991 and held captive for 18 years, talked in her first interview about both the pain and determination she felt as she gave birth to her captor's child at age 14 in his backyard.
Dugard was clear and composed throughout the interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer that aired Sunday night, but grew tearful when she talked about seeing the first of two girls fathered by Phillip Garrido.
She said the moment was extremely painful, but she knew she was no longer alone, and knew "I could never let anything happen to her."
Dugard said there was "a switch" she had to shut off to emotionally survive her rape and imprisonment.
Dugard's book about her experience, "A Stolen Life," is released this week.

Great News: CA Bill Requires All Schools To Teach Homosexual History: "It Can Only Be Beneficial To Students"

Surprise! Congressional Candidate Janice Hahn (D-CA) Connected to LA Gang Criminals

Via BreitbartTV:
Janice Hahn, congressional candidate in the special election to replace Democrat Jane Harmon in California's 36th District, is under fire for new charges that she used her position as a city councilwoman to funnel money to gang members and criminals in an effort to "keep the peace" between warring gangs in her Los Angeles district.
Here's the report:
Oh, but there's even more. Hahn responded by sending a 'cease and desist' letter to the above local affiliate to try and kill the messenger. Bad move. Via Instapundit:
POLITICAL CENSORSHIP: “It’s one thing when someone decides that they are going to intimidate a blogger with a cease and desist order, it’s totally another for a congressional candidate in CA-36 to actually send such an order to a TV station over a story they did on her years ago.” Janice Hahn doesn’t seem to understand things very well.
 Plus this:
CA-36: Yes, Janice Hahn blew it. “When Janice Hahn’s lawyers sent a cease-and-desist letter to KTTV Fox 11 — trying to stop the Los Angeles station from following up on its 2008 investigation of Hahn’s controversial ‘gang intervention’ progam — they probably didn’t expect this. ‘Large mistake, madame,’ says the award-winning Ace of Spades. Because KTTV and Chris Blatchford not only stood by their original coverage, they followed up with an in-depth eight-minute report that devastates Hahn’s credibility.”
The only remaining question is if the voters of CA-36 are dumb enough to vote this political maniac into office. I mean, they did vote back Moonbeam to the governorship and Boxer into the Senate.

Thank you Governor Jerry Moonbeam Brown for stealing the income of over 10,000 private businesses!

LAS VEGAS - MARCH 07: Paul Shipin of Californ...Image by Getty Images via @daylifeToday's Evil Hamster is a career politician named Jerry Brown. They call him Governor here in California. I call him Evil Hamster of the day. Now I know that calling career politicians evil hamsters can be an oxymoron, however, there are, I m sure, many public officials who are ethical and do what is right.

In this particular case, I am angry. Here is why:

Wed. 6/29/11, at 12:24 PM California time, I received this email:

Hello,For well over a decade, the Amazon Associates Program has worked with thousands of California residents. Unfortunately, a potential new law that may be signed by Governor Brown compels us to terminate this program for California-based participants. It specifically imposes the collection of taxes from consumers on sales by online retailers - including but not limited to those referred by California-based marketing affiliates like you - even if those retailers have no physical presence in the state.

We oppose this bill because it is unconstitutional and counterproductive. It is supported by big-box retailers, most of which are based outside California, that seek to harm the affiliate advertising programs of their competitors. Similar legislation in other states has led to job and income losses, and little, if any, new tax revenue. We deeply regret that we must take this action.

As a result, we will terminate contracts with all California residents that are participants in the Amazon Associates Program as of the date (if any) that the California law becomes effective. We will send a follow-up notice to you confirming the termination date if the California law is enacted. In the event that the California law does not become effective before September 30, 2011, we withdraw this notice. As of the termination date, California residents will no longer receive advertising fees for sales referred to Amazon.comEndless.comMYHABIT.COM or SmallParts.com. Please be assured that all qualifying advertising fees earned on or before the termination date will be processed and paid in full in accordance with the regular payment schedule.

You are receiving this email because our records indicate that you are a resident of California. If you are not currently a resident of California, or if you are relocating to another state in the near future, you can manage the details of your Associates account here. And if you relocate to another state in the near future please contact us for reinstatement into the Amazon Associates Program.

To avoid confusion, we would like to clarify that this development will only impact our ability to offer the Associates Program to California residents and will not affect their ability to purchase from Amazon.comEndless.comMYHABIT.COM or SmallParts.com.

We have enjoyed working with you and other California-based participants in the Amazon Associates Program and, if this situation is rectified, would very much welcome the opportunity to re-open our Associates Program to California residents. We are also working on alternative ways to help California residents monetize their websites and we will be sure to contact you when these become available.

Hey, thanks guys, cutting off the income of over 10,000 people in just under 9 hours is pretty damn impressive. I will be honest, since all I know about this issue is what you see that I learned yesterday. However, I do know that if a person in Texas visits one of my sites, clicks an Amazon link, and buys that product, he or she is paying the sales tax in Washington, where Amazon is based. I can see why Amazon does not want to double tax their customers, so essentially, with 9 hours to fight back (remember: you can't even get out of the fricken DMV in 9 hours), 10,000 amazon associates have lost, in many cases, a major source of income. Personally, mine was minor, but I feel the pain for the others.

Let me OP-ED for a second. We need another political party. The powers that be abuse the tax structure.....the entire tax structure. Let me paint you a picture, based on facts that I know personally,  the majority of the homeless people walking the streets on drugs and alcohol are self medicating mental illness because the mental health infrastructure in this country, never great to begin with, has become a pathetic joke. Poor people intentionally commit crime so they can go to jail and get medical care. Doesn't work. The Jails are currently closing because the local Health Departments do not have enough money to provide medical professionals. The same is true with Mental Health Departments.

Do you know what they do with real sick people, send them to the overcrowd and underfunded General Hospitals. Do you know what jail intake mental staff do for mentally ill patients? Stop all and any medication, let them suffer through withdraw, and then treat whatever symptoms arise. If the patient survives.

Police are overburdened and going from call to call. That is why you have to call in your own theft reports to a secretary to have a report filed. Should I even elaborate on the state of social security, welfare, or border patrol, let alone airport security.

No, I'll try to shorten this by saying that the examples above are to inform you that all of the money you pay in sales taxes, income taxes, inheritance taxes, estate taxes, capital gains taxes, and every other damn tax they rename as  fees or Mello-roos, etc. are in place to make the above listed institutions great, not impotent images of their intended purpose. Instead, these very  institutions suffer, whether your taxes go up or down.........the rich.........they seem to stay the same.

I'll stop pontificating on a situation in which I am unsure about who really caused this mess. All I can say is that someone or some group have now hurt thousands of business owners in this state. That is the last thing we need right now, and you and your buddies are now officially Evil Hamsters.

To those that have lost a great deal of income. I pray you can make it up quick with other avenues. Oh, and since I like to laugh, here are a few pics of our brand spanking new Governor Moonbeam:

Lastly: Amazon, if this is somehow your fault......your next.....and I will be vicious.

USA Medical Coverage - Evil Hamster of the day

To me, the saddest thing about this story is that this has crossed my mind as a possibility!

No, I'm not in his situation, and I don't want to break the law, but I recently retired early from the sheriff department after 20 years and 20 above average evaluations. Ironically, I received the Sheriff's Medal of Merit a month before I got in trouble.

In 2010 I made a couple of bad decisions because of stress. Since the Correctional Mafia, I mean the politically connected powers that be, were in charge of my career at that point, my career went down hill like a titanic boulder, while they had smiles on there face. I will accept the ultimate blame and not hold ill will, except against a little bald headed Nazi-like little egomaniac punk sergeant, who I trained 13 years earlier, and made the mistake of letting this control freak off of training. All of this is my opinion only.

But I am sinking to a low level by writing this. To bring myself back up, I have to say that even during my worst times, and at the end, Sheriff Sniff, Lt. Pete Ortiz, Captain Hill, Chief Deputy Rick Hall and thousands, and I mean thousands, of others were there for me. The Riverside County Sheriff Department is an awesome family, with awesome people, doing a job day in and day out, that can bring the best of us to our knees. My honor and my oath is still with them, as is my prayers.

But here's the main point, before I lose your attention. For the State to issue me COBRA to continue medical coverage, I needed company authorization. Well, three months after leaving the depatrment I still had Riverside County saying it was the Law Enforcement Managment Unions responsibility, and I had the Law Enforcememnt Mamnagement Union saying it was the Riverside County Sheriff's Associations Responsibility, and so on the circle went. I never did receive the cobra coverage, and when someone with the county came to their senses in April or May, it would have cost me almost $10,000 to get back with Kaiser Permanente Medical Coverage. Now.........if this can happen to a married  man with no criminal history, who worked non-stop for the last 29 years with medical coverage and has a family.............keep that in mind while you read this article from the Gaston Gazzette and yahoo! Yeah, I know the guy looks like a lunatic.....but try and ignore that too LOL

Man robs bank to get medical care in jail

Some people who need medical care but can't afford it go to the emergency room. Others just hope they'll get better. James Richard Verone robbed a bank.
Earlier this month, Verone (pictured), a 59-year-old convenience store clerk, walked into a Gaston, N.C., bank and handed the cashier a note demanding $1 and medical attention. Then he waited calmly for police to show up.
He's now in jail and has an appointment with a doctor this week.
Verone's problems started when he lost the job he'd held for 17 years as a Coca Cola deliveryman, amid the economic downturn. He found new work driving a truck, but it didn't last. Eventually, he took a part-time position at the convenience store.
But Verone's body wasn't up to it. The bending and lifting made his back ache. He had problems with his left foot, making him limp. He also suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis.
Then he noticed a protrusion on his chest. "The pain was beyond the tolerance that I could accept," Verone told the Gaston Gazette. "I kind of hit a brick wall with everything."
Verone knew he needed help--and he didn't want to be a burden on his sister and brothers. He applied for food stamps, but they weren't enough either.
So he hatched a plan. On June 9, he woke up, showered, ironed his shirt. He mailed a letter to the Gazette, listing the return address as the Gaston County Jail.
"When you receive this a bank robbery will have been committed by me," Verone wrote in the letter. "This robbery is being committed by me for one dollar. I am of sound mind but not so much sound body."
Then Verone hailed a cab to take him to the RBC Bank. Inside, he handed the teller his $1 robbery demand.
"I didn't have any fears," said Verone. "I told the teller that I would sit over here and wait for police."
The teller was so frightened that she had to be taken to the hospital to be checked out. Verone, meanwhile, was taken to jail, just as he'd planned it.
Because he only asked for $1, Verone was charged with larceny, not bank robbery. But he said that if his punishment isn't severe enough, he plans to tell the judge that he'll do it again. His $100,000 bond has been reduced to $2,000, but he says he doesn't plan to pay it.
In jail, Verone said he skips dinner to avoid too much contact with the other inmates. He's already seen some nurses and is scheduled to see a doctor on Friday. He said he's hoping to receive back and foot surgery, and get the protrusion on his chest treated. Then he plans to spend a few years in jail, before getting out in time to collect Social Security and move to the beach.
Verone also presented the view that if the United States had a health-care system which offered people more government support, he wouldn't have had to make the choice he did.
"If you don't have your health you don't have anything," Verone said.
The Affordable Care Act, President Obama's health-care overhaul passed by Congress last year, was designed to make it easier for Americans in situations like Verone's to get health insurance. But most of its provisions don't go into effect until 2014.
As it is, Verone said he thinks he chose the best of a bunch of bad options. "I picked jail."
