USA Medical Coverage - Evil Hamster of the day

To me, the saddest thing about this story is that this has crossed my mind as a possibility!

No, I'm not in his situation, and I don't want to break the law, but I recently retired early from the sheriff department after 20 years and 20 above average evaluations. Ironically, I received the Sheriff's Medal of Merit a month before I got in trouble.

In 2010 I made a couple of bad decisions because of stress. Since the Correctional Mafia, I mean the politically connected powers that be, were in charge of my career at that point, my career went down hill like a titanic boulder, while they had smiles on there face. I will accept the ultimate blame and not hold ill will, except against a little bald headed Nazi-like little egomaniac punk sergeant, who I trained 13 years earlier, and made the mistake of letting this control freak off of training. All of this is my opinion only.

But I am sinking to a low level by writing this. To bring myself back up, I have to say that even during my worst times, and at the end, Sheriff Sniff, Lt. Pete Ortiz, Captain Hill, Chief Deputy Rick Hall and thousands, and I mean thousands, of others were there for me. The Riverside County Sheriff Department is an awesome family, with awesome people, doing a job day in and day out, that can bring the best of us to our knees. My honor and my oath is still with them, as is my prayers.

But here's the main point, before I lose your attention. For the State to issue me COBRA to continue medical coverage, I needed company authorization. Well, three months after leaving the depatrment I still had Riverside County saying it was the Law Enforcement Managment Unions responsibility, and I had the Law Enforcememnt Mamnagement Union saying it was the Riverside County Sheriff's Associations Responsibility, and so on the circle went. I never did receive the cobra coverage, and when someone with the county came to their senses in April or May, it would have cost me almost $10,000 to get back with Kaiser Permanente Medical Coverage. Now.........if this can happen to a married  man with no criminal history, who worked non-stop for the last 29 years with medical coverage and has a family.............keep that in mind while you read this article from the Gaston Gazzette and yahoo! Yeah, I know the guy looks like a lunatic.....but try and ignore that too LOL

Man robs bank to get medical care in jail

Some people who need medical care but can't afford it go to the emergency room. Others just hope they'll get better. James Richard Verone robbed a bank.
Earlier this month, Verone (pictured), a 59-year-old convenience store clerk, walked into a Gaston, N.C., bank and handed the cashier a note demanding $1 and medical attention. Then he waited calmly for police to show up.
He's now in jail and has an appointment with a doctor this week.
Verone's problems started when he lost the job he'd held for 17 years as a Coca Cola deliveryman, amid the economic downturn. He found new work driving a truck, but it didn't last. Eventually, he took a part-time position at the convenience store.
But Verone's body wasn't up to it. The bending and lifting made his back ache. He had problems with his left foot, making him limp. He also suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis.
Then he noticed a protrusion on his chest. "The pain was beyond the tolerance that I could accept," Verone told the Gaston Gazette. "I kind of hit a brick wall with everything."
Verone knew he needed help--and he didn't want to be a burden on his sister and brothers. He applied for food stamps, but they weren't enough either.
So he hatched a plan. On June 9, he woke up, showered, ironed his shirt. He mailed a letter to the Gazette, listing the return address as the Gaston County Jail.
"When you receive this a bank robbery will have been committed by me," Verone wrote in the letter. "This robbery is being committed by me for one dollar. I am of sound mind but not so much sound body."
Then Verone hailed a cab to take him to the RBC Bank. Inside, he handed the teller his $1 robbery demand.
"I didn't have any fears," said Verone. "I told the teller that I would sit over here and wait for police."
The teller was so frightened that she had to be taken to the hospital to be checked out. Verone, meanwhile, was taken to jail, just as he'd planned it.
Because he only asked for $1, Verone was charged with larceny, not bank robbery. But he said that if his punishment isn't severe enough, he plans to tell the judge that he'll do it again. His $100,000 bond has been reduced to $2,000, but he says he doesn't plan to pay it.
In jail, Verone said he skips dinner to avoid too much contact with the other inmates. He's already seen some nurses and is scheduled to see a doctor on Friday. He said he's hoping to receive back and foot surgery, and get the protrusion on his chest treated. Then he plans to spend a few years in jail, before getting out in time to collect Social Security and move to the beach.
Verone also presented the view that if the United States had a health-care system which offered people more government support, he wouldn't have had to make the choice he did.
"If you don't have your health you don't have anything," Verone said.
The Affordable Care Act, President Obama's health-care overhaul passed by Congress last year, was designed to make it easier for Americans in situations like Verone's to get health insurance. But most of its provisions don't go into effect until 2014.
As it is, Verone said he thinks he chose the best of a bunch of bad options. "I picked jail."

Fight Evil Hamsters with the new online Crime Map!

Crime and Punishment in SuburbiaImage via WikipediaWe all know that criminals are evil hamsters. It kind of goes without saying. We also know that some crimes shouldn't be crimes and others should be prosecuted with more passion. Crime and Punishment is a very complex relationship within any solid society, and there is a lot to disagree with and a lot we would like to change. The reason people commit crimes is a topic that I could write many books about. The bottom line is that none of us want crimes committed against us. In addition, we are all fascinated by crime and want to know where it is happening.

In that vain, I have found this site you may like. It is a real time, updated, crime map. At this time, I know it covers many areas of The United States at least, but I can guess it will grow fast. That is why I bring it to you in this article and why it is indexed in my new search engine The WOW cloud. You can go directly to the crime map here. Have fun.

Let's Pray the find Faith Ward

This is so sad to watch as a parent. This case is still open and the details are unknown. If she was kidnapped, you really don't know what has happened. People and groups who steal children are one of the worst forms of Evil Hamsters.

Concern Grows Over Missing Arizona Model Kristian Faith Ward

Little headway has been made in the search for Kristian Faith Ward, an 18-year-old model and mother from Phoenix, Ariz., who has been missing since late last month.

Ward, also known as Kristian Faith Stout, was last seen at the Paradise Valley Mall in Phoenix at about 1 p.m. on May 27. What happened to her after she left the mall remains a mystery, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

"She went to pick up her check from work and has not been seen or heard from since," Sgt. Trent Crump told The Huffington Post.

Ward, who lives at home with her parents and her 2-year-old son, does not have a vehicle and was alone at the time of her disappearance. She had a cellphone with her, but attempts to reach her via the phone have been unsuccessful. Additional attempts to "ping" the phone -- that is, to use satellites to trace her route and or current location -- have also failed, according to police.

"We were unable to locate it," Crump said.

Ward's Facebook wall is set to private, so non-friends cannot view it. Some personal information, however, such as her schooling, Santa Fe College, and current job -- as a model at Hollister Company -- are visible.

Her Facebook profile's "about Kristian" section reads in part: "I have a son ... he's everything to me! I don't have many friends because I trust very few. I like to get out and do things. Just enjoy life!"

Police said Ward's son is currently staying with his grandparents.

Asked if investigators suspect foul play in Ward’s disappearance, Crump said, "There are things that you look at -- she walked away from a 2-year-old and has never done that before and [she] did not take any belongings with her. So, there is great concern, but obviously we don't have any ... [proof of] an abduction or kidnapping."

Crump added: "We have no crime scene [but] the parents do feel something has gone wrong here."

Ward is described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has pierced ears, with an extra piercing in the top of her left ear. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the Phoenix Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at (602) 534-2121 or (602) 262-6141.

Hati-hati Jangan Mau Dijebak Oknum Polisi (Tips Buat Mengantisipasi Jebakan Oknum Polisi)

It's true story.

Kepala Divisi Humas Polri, Irjen Pol.

Tips menghadapi Polisi pemeras:
1. Katakan barang narkoba itu bukan milik anda.
7. Jangan berikan uang sedikitpun.
8. Laporkan ke petugas Propam agar kasusnya cepat terungkap.

Mohon berkenan di untuk kebaikan

“Most Beautiful Police Flower” Saves Suicide Jumper Girl

china-suicide-jumper-girl-rescued-by-police-woman-01
From Sina:

Yesterday at 1pm, a young female climbed atop a building at Tongzhi Street and Qinghua Road in Changchun City wanting to commit suicide.. Firefighters and local police tried to persuade her but she refused to come down.
At a crucial moment, a female police officer who was driving by volunteered to climb onto the building’s roof and find a way to get close to the female. Over one hour later, this female flipped over the side of the building, and at the critical moment, the female police officer reached out and grabbed her firmly.
However, after saving this life, this female police officer consistently refused to disclose her name, and there were many opinions amongst the onlookers regarding this female police officer’s identity. Just who is this female police flower? Presently there are no detailed information, but we believe a follow-up report will bring the people this good result. Police, a position/identity that has become estranged and distant from the people in recent years, has once again earned some warmth through this beautiful police flower.
As a police officer “passing by”, she could have pretended that nothing was happening like many other people, even like many other police officers. However, due to her care for life and respect for her occupation, she still had the courage to stand forward and while risking her own safety save this young female. This is the kind of police that is in the hearts of the people!
The one thing worth our satisfaction is that the journalist recorded this female police flower’s beautiful appearance and her life-saving actions. In the midst of netizen discussions, the one thing that has not changed is what this female police flower has been called: most beautiful police flower! Now let us keep in mind the respect we have for this female police flower while we view the thrilling life and death pictures of what happened!
The young girl wanted to commit suicide because of a problem she had with the boss of the restaurant she worked in.

Woman Stripped Naked in Ghana

L/C Khan and Inspector Nyame stormed her house with six well-built armed policemen to arrest Blackee
L/C Khan and Inspector Nyame stormed her house with six well-built armed policemen to arrest Blackee

After being allegedly assaulted by six armed policemen at her residence at Yawhima Shooting Range, near Sunyani on Sunday night, Cynthia Gahe, aka Sister Akos is in severe pain.

Eye-witnesses say Sister Akos was rendered naked after the dress she was wearing was torn by the irate policemen who stormed her house to arrest her brother, one Kwadwo aka Blackee, for threatening a police officer who stays in the neighbourhood.

The poor woman, according to residents, was given some slaps which landed her on the floor, and was dragged on the floor by the policemen who assaulted her for allegedly obstructing her brother's arrest.

Residents who attempted to rescue the defenseless lady from the hands of the policemen also had their fair share of the brutality.
Asiedu Richard told Daily Guide that his right eye, which was red at the time of the paper's visit to the house on Monday evening, was nearly gouged out by the police when he attempted to save the woman.

Kwadwo Manu, a victim who described the incident as a "very terrible situation", said he was slapped by one of the officers when he came upon the incident and decided to enquire about it.

The disturbing part of the incident, residents said, was that Sister Akos was detained at the police station overnight after the husband, Luis Gahe, had gone there to lodge an official complaint with the police.

Mr. Gahe said his wife, who looked too frail, collapsed immediately after she was released the next morning, Monday, and was rushed to the emergency unit of the Sunyani Regional Hospital. She has since been treated and discharged.

Meanwhile, the police have denied any wrongdoing. The Sunyani Municipal Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Charles Botwe, told DAILY GUIDE that the woman in question tried to obstruct the arrest of her brother who was believed to be hiding in her room at the time the police got to the house, he said even though investigations are still underway, he can confirm that nobody, including the woman, was assaulted during the incident.

He explained that one Inspector E.K Nyame of the regional Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) lodged a complaint with the police on Sunday morning that Blackee had threatened him after unlawfully entering his house..

The police chief said later in the evening, Inspector Nyame
called in the Mobile Patrol Unit when he felt insecure because of Blackee's threatening words.

When Sister Akos heard that the police were looking for her brother, she hurled all manner of insults on Inspector Nyame.

Chief Supt Botwe said the woman rather obstructed justice when she prevented the officers from entering the room to arrest her brother and even went to the extent of picking a coal pot and a pistil to hit the police.

He indicated that the woman will be processed for court, whilst the police hunt for Blackee. He has also challenged all the eye-witnesses to come forward to expose the police officers who assaulted the woman.

Family members however told DAILY GUIDE that one Lance Corporal (L/C) Khan, who is building a house in the neighbourhood, has been engaging Blackee for construction works on the building. Sources said payments have not beenprompt.

Reports said Blackee went to L/C Khan's house, where Inspector Nyame also lives, on Sunday evening to collect his money for the service he rendered in the morning, but it led to a confrontation.

When Sister Akos was informed, she went there to calm her brother down and she was hit by Mr. Khan's son. which resulted in the trading of insults.

According to residents, when Sister Akos was pounding fufu later in the evening, L/C Khan and Inspector Nyame stormed her house with six well-built armed policemen to arrest Blackee. At the time, Blackee was not at home.

Sister Akos told Daily Guide that she demanded an arrest warrant from the police but they tried forcing their way into her room to fish out her brother.

She was brutally assaulted in the process..
