Intuition Does More Than Liven Up Your Water

I am trying really, really hard to drink more water because I know it is important to stay hydrated and and replenish my system.

I find it difficult though because it is so plain and unexciting.

One of the best ways I've discovered to revitalize not only my container of water, but my body, is with Intuition.

This amazing new line of prevenative drink products adds flavour AND ingredients that enhance your life in various ways. A tube containing juice concentrates, natural flavours and medicinal herbs makes it easy to add to your water bottle. It won't clot like powders and the flavours are discernable, but not overpowering. You can also add it your water, wherever you happen to be - at home, the office, on the go - making it a convenient and flavourful way to drink throughout the day. Oh, and it's affordable too.

This naturally produced product of Canada includes ingredients from naturally grown plants and vegetation.

My Vitality is wild strawberry flavoured with a hearty kick of spice. This caffeine-free concentrates includes ginko biloba, Asian ginseng and other energy boosting herbs that will help you get throughout the day without feeling sluggish. You can safely use and drink up to 6 tubes a day - you can't say that about those expensive sugary energy drinks, can you? And feel free to turn it up a little, by making The Vitality Daiquiri! Drinks before dinner just got a little more exciting...

I really like Vitality My Waistline. This refreshing lemongrass lemonade stimulates your metabolism while supressing your appetite using natural ingredients such as yerba mate and dandelion root. You can have up to 4 tubes a day and since it's so tasty (thanks to Michelle Hunt, co-founder of The Martini Club International Inc. for creating such exciting flavour profiles) you probably will.

There are new flavours just about to be released (sooo good) so be sure to check back often for new products.

Count Down to Better Health With New Balance's Via Slim Pedometer

Did you know that you can walk your way to good health merely by eating well and walking 10,000 steps a day? According to The Walking Site:

"The average person's stride length is approximately 2.5 feet long. That means it takes just over 2,000 steps to walk one mile, and 10,000 steps is close to 5 miles. A sedentary person may only average 1,000 to 3,000 steps a day."

It sounds like a lot, but once you track your steps throughout the day, you might be surprised.

I put on my amazing new New Balance Via Slim Pedometer to track just my walk to the grocery store, library, post office etc. In other words, my usual route through the neighbourhood. Here are the results:

4951 steps
1.56 miles
149.5 calories burned
2.38 miles/hour

Now imagine if I'd worn it all day! There is something so invigorating having a pedometer along with you. It really does feel like you've got your own personal coach, egging you on to go that one bit farther. I felt like I just wanted to keep going!

And it's so easy to use. You just clip it onto your waistband and it does all of the hard work of counting and tracking your steps. It displays the time, sensing if you're walking or running, tracks how many miles you've gone and how fast and my favourite feature - tells you how many calories you've burned.

My Mom and I go walking once a week and it started out at just a few hours and this week was our longest yet - 8 hours! Luckily I had my trusty New Balance Via Slim Pedometer with me. Here's how we did this week:

15842 steps
5 miles
478.4 calories burned
2.34 miles/hour

I think I'm just going to keep this l'il baby on my at all times. In fact, I'm going to go for a long walk now and see how many steps I can go!

I've finally found the motivation to walk everyday and work off these last few pounds that just won't leave with my New Balance Via Slim Pedometer.

Get one too and we'll do it together!

Svelte in a Swimsuit? Absolutely, with Rodial's Crash Diet & Tummy Tuck!

I was nowhere near ready to bare any part of myself when the weather warmed up.

    Nu uh.

Canadian winters are long and frightfully cold, so "comfort food" takes on a whole new meaning at this time of year. So by the time the ice starts to melt and we switch from down to jean jackets, it takes my mind and body a whole lot longer to feel comfortable being exposed in warmer temperatures.

Luckily, I had Rodial Skincare by my side. And I needed something quick! Rodial "delivers targeted treatments to specific skin concerns combining the best of anti-aging and firming ingredients." So I knew I had a fighting chance by using their Crash Diet and Tummy Tuck

Crash Diet is your "ultimate slimming companion." Hallelujah and amen! Because while I could do this alone with healthy eating and exercise (which I'm doing), I wouldn't be able to do it this fast!

See, all you do is massage on the gel twice a day for just 2 weeks after warming up your body with gentle exercise (I put it on after a long walk of after dancing around the house to a couple rockin' songs). You put it on using upward strokes, "starting from the feet and moving to hips, thighs and bum." The gel is formulated to break down the stubborn fat that's hanging on like that cat in a tree poster from the 70s. While it's doing that, it reduces fluid retention (bye, bye pounds!) and works on enhancing your weight loss.

I know what you're thinking - a gel can't do all of that.

    You're wrong.

I noticed results after just a few applications and after just 2 weeks,I slid into a pair of pants that I normally had to shimmy my way into. I sat in a restaurant for an event for 5 hours and my dress felt comfortable the whole time - that never happens. Especially with all the food I eat. According to the company's stats, they found:
    • Cellulite reduced by 32%
    • Thigh/buttock girth reduced by 3.8%
    • Firmness of skin improved by 60%
    • Water retention reduced by up to 12% in 6 weeks
It's hard to believe until you see it for yourself, but I'm telling you - I look way better than I did a couple of weeks ago. I'm ready to don a tight dress again. For the first time in years.

To me, that makes it a miracle product.

The Tummy Tuck too! I haven't had a flat tummy since my twenties, but you should see me now! The flattening formula has lessened not only the inches around my waist,  but I look so toned now. And all without nary a sit-up. All  you have to to is put it on twice a day for 8 weeks. You massage it into your abs and tummy area using circular motions. An ingredient called Laracare "lifts, tones and plumps up skin whilst revitalising the overall look and texture of skin," while UC Peptide gets your body simultaneously burning fight.

By using this daily for 2 months, it's "clinically proven to reduce the abdominal area by up to 2 centimetres." I haven't finished my 8 weeks yet, but already I feel like a new, slimmer me.

Which means for once I'm not sweating trying out bathing suits or wearing a sexy little number that's been at the back of my closet since 2007.

Rodial Skincare's got your back. And your legs, buns, abs...

Shop the entire collection now and look fabulous just in time for capris, dresses and even shorts.

p.s. This is the first time that slimming products have smelled this good. Perfumed flowers encircle your body while your thighs, stomach and waist shrinks. Ahhhh.

Shape Up Effortlessly For Spring with ShaToBu!

Despite being a former certified fitness instructor,  the reality is that my exercise these days consists of walks to media events and restaurants, errands around town and the occasional dance exercise DVD.

So when I found out about ShaToBu, I thought they must too good to be true.

See, at first glance, it looks to be your typical body shaper product. Which by no means is a little thing. To be able to get me in that dress with these thighs? Hallejuah!

But see, it is actually a scientific revolution that you've got there in your hands.

ShaToBu, "The Workout You Wear," is the revolutionary shaper developed by chiropractor Dr. Denise Perron,  that "helps women shape, tone and burn more calories during everyday activities."

      #@*$!

Okay, so let me get this straight - I slip on this shapewear, immediately looking slimmer, AND I get to "work out" and "burn more calories" without having to do anything else but just wearing these items?

How the hell does it do that?

Oh, I see. They've built seamless resistance bands right into their garments, so you burn more calories and your muscles work harder.  Stitched into optimal areas, the bands give you a slight resistance so that you move a little more, a little further, a little harder.

      But do they actually work?

"Independent scientific studies from the University of Virginia show that women who wear ShaToBu during daily activities burn UP TO 12% MORE calories during daily activities like walking or climbing stairs."

I have tried on a ton of shapewear garments in my time and these are damn comfy. There's no rolling up or buldging, the combination of nylon and lycra means that you won't be too hot or feel too squeezed in and the cotton CoolMax gusset ensures you'll stay cool down there no matter how many stairs you climb. And surprisingly, there's little fatigue that comes along with you. You may be working out harder throughout the day, but you certainly don't feel like you are. And there's no corset-y, restricted-type feeling that you sometimes feel in shapewear pieces.

I tried the Waist to Knee Shaper, which is great for everything from skinny jeans to pencil skirts. In fact, the Footless Shaping Tight works with them too. I've never seen a shaper like this before - you can rock everything from a little shift for work to a mini dress after hours!

Styles come lots of sizes (small to large-tall) and in Jet Black and Buff. My suggestion? Get one of each colour so that you've got one for every outfit.

Because if you had to pick between a shapewear that just slims you and a shapewear that slims and helps you tone your muscles and burn calories, which one would you choose?

Shop the entire ShaToBu collection now or shop at select Bay locations and independent boutiques across Canada.

Purple Lab's Lip Plumper Also Keeps Hunger At Bay!

I didn't think it could be possible.

I mean, claiming that a lip plumper could suppress your appetite? Come on, now!

So I applied Purple Lab's Huge Lips Skinny Hips (in No Pantry Lines - clear gloss) right when the first pangs of hunger were starting. Lunch was hours ago and though it wasn't quite time for dinner, I was starting to feel like I needed something to carry me to the next meal.

Not only did my lips get beautifully big without any of that painful stinging that I've experienced with other plumpers (thanks to the addition of lemon peel), but after a few minutes, my appetite was most definitely quelled (thanks to the natural ingredient hoodia). And the slick wet look my lips now had wasn't at all slippery and didn't dry up and disappear like has happened in the past with other brands.

      And it goes with everything.

So here I was looking fab and keeping the pounds off, all with a couple of swipes of gloss.

Yep, it's true. It really does what it claims. And now I've got a damn beautiful pout and a waist that might just stay the same size to prove it.

Why you would use anything else other than a revolutionary and multi-tasking product such as Purple Lab's Huge Lips Skinny Lips, available in various shades, is beyond me.
