Britney Spears readies new single and introduces a 'new' opening act for 'Femme Fatale' Tour!

The Britney machine is still in overdrive.  The pop-princess readies a new single with a video to be shot in a few weeks.  The next single up to bat is 'Inside Out'.  Also, Brit took time away from the tour to talk to MTV News about some of her tour rituals and how well she has been received by her fans.

Also, Spears let MTV know that she has added a 'new' opening act to the show.  Nicki Minaj is already onboard, but now it seems that Britney has added yet another charismatic act to the bunch.



Jersey Shore DJ Pauly D has joined Spears as a opening act for a few dates of the tour.

Sad news for HIP HOP ROYALTY, Nicki Minaj!!  Reports say that Nicki Minaj's cousin, Nicholas Telemaque was shot and killed on Independence Day in NYC!

Minaj initially tweeted the news of the murder of her cousin, Nicholas Telemaque, on Monday evening. He was shot in Brooklyn near his home in the early hours of Independence Day, according to police. Police say that the 27-year-old was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso region. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The investigation is ongoing.

A relative of Telemaque spoke to Radar Online shortly after the news broke, noting that Minaj is "devastated" over the loss. "He was shot in the chest as he walked towards his car close to his home. Nicki is absolutely devastated, as are all our family — she was very close to her cousin, but now he has gone," Carol Clarke told the website, adding that she believed he was killed because of "mistaken identity."



Nicki's Femme Fatale tourmate Britney Spears sent love and support her way on Twitter.

"Please keep @NickiMinaj & her family in your prayers. ... keep up the amazing love and support you guys have for her," Spears tweeted late Tuesday. Minaj was performing at a show on Monday night in Winnipeg when it was learned that her cousin had been shot and killed in New York. The tour was off Tuesday night and will resume today in Minnesota.

TOO MUCH or NOT ENOUGH 'SEX' at this year's Billboard Music Awards?

When is pushing the line better than just skating the line of public decency?  Was it just me, or did it seem as if the BMA's tried to serve up an EXTRA helping of 'sex on a platter' at this year's award set.  Creating this post, I couldn't help but hear George Michael's 'I want your sex' and Madonna's, 'Justify my love' in my head, but I digress.

So, too sexy, or just on the borders of decency?  Well like the old saying goes, 'sex sells'.. If you all else fails, you can always resort to that, right.  The performance were designed to shock, titillate and entertain.  I think they achieved just what they are going after.  But still, I am sure they received some calls from angry parents of children who were still awake watching this telecast.  In that instance, parents still can or should control what their children watches on television, if they are easily tempted, or offended by some of the images here.  Janet, trust me, that little nipple thing has nothing on Sunday night's titillating telecast.

It appears that the 'dark' days are behind for Pop Queen, Britney Spears.  Britney graces the June issue of 'Harper's Bazaar'.  In the mag, Spears dishes on her upcoming world tour with Nicki Minaj as her opening act, being a working mother and how that has affected her career.

Doesn't she look radiant.  It appears that Britney is back to form and loving life at this stage in her career.  'Femme Fatale' is still riding high on the charts, so the pop star has a lot to beam about these days!

Britney Spears' 7th studio album ‘Femme Fatale’ has been certified platinum  by the Record Industry Association of America (RIAA).  The album, which was released March 29th, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 Chart, becoming her record-breaking 6th #1 album .  It seem to take no time at all for POP SENSATION, Britney to nab yet another platinum plaque.  This is great momentum as she embarks on her World Tour with rap phenom, Nicki Minaj.  JUSTJARED was able to get some inside footage of Britney as she rehearsed for the upcoming tour.  TAKE A LOOK at what you can expect........

"Sex toys and bad extensions" Nicki & Britney--the new ODD 'COUPLE'??

Since Britney has announced that Nicki Minaj will be joining her on her 'Femme Fatale' tour this summer, the two have been seen together  more frequently.  But what do you make of the odd couple?  It seems like an unlikely pairing as far as tours are concerned; seemingly two different demographics, but I am sure they will make it work to benefit both of them.  Both way reach an audience they haven't reached thus far.  Minaj has proven that she can deliver 'hardcore' tracks to appease her die hard fans and also light , 'pop' rap tracks for the crossover audience.  Minaj who is currently touring with her Young Money mentor, Lil' Wayne has a very 'colorful' stage show as is.


 I think she may be changing a few things up when she goes on the road with Britney.  Or maybe not.  We will see which 'microphones' she chooses to use when she hits the road with Brit Brit.
This has the makings of a very 'interesting' road tour..... We will keep you informed.

Speaking of Nicki & Britney, what are your thoughts of the Britney, Nicki Ke$ha collabo?  The 3 'pop stars' recently collaborated on a remix of Britney's, 'Til the world ends'.  Minaj took a few bars to take some jabs at her 'arch enemy' Lil' Kim, while Ke$ha, who wrote the original, gives her AUTO-Tuned offering to the chorus.

  Even if it sounds HORRIBLE, the magnitude of getting these 3 huge stars together on one track is enough to drive the single up the charts.  SO congrats to them.  If you missed it, listen up......
